Kikusui is a unique inn with only three rooms. It is located inside Sengen Taisha Shrine, which has existed since the third year of Ninju (853 AD). Sengen Taisha Shrine is the head temple of all Sengen shrines in Japan, and is registered as a World Heritage Site along with Mt. Fuji.
Located in a quiet area at the foot of Mt. Fuji, and integrated with Sengen Taisha Shrine, you can experience being in nature.
Fujinomiya flourished as a temple town for Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine, the base of worship for Mt. Fuji. Within the grounds of Sengen Taisha Shrine, which is a component part of the World Heritage Site, there is Wakutama Pond, where 300,000 tons of underground water from Mt. Fuji springs out every day. This pond was once the starting point for climbing Mt. Fuji, where climbers aiming for the peak would perform a purification ritual before entering the mountain.
Kikusui is a place where you can feel both history and nature at the same time, and is also known as a power spot. Please use it as an inn to heal your mind and body.
